Active holidays on Lake Millstatt

Lake Millstatt is not just another lake with drinking water quality. There are countless adventure holiday opportunities on and around the lake.

Whether you just want to lie on the beach or engage in sporting activities on or around the lake.

Water sports and leisure facilities

Fishing, sailing, surfing, swimming, diving, water skiing or taking a rowing boat to a remote, romantic shore. For those not adept at rowing, we recommend a boat trip with a wonderful panorama. The lawns invite you to sit back, relax, and let yourself go.

The numerous sports fields and playgrounds around the lake offer entertaining and invite you to a serious workout.

Hiking and Mountaineering

Gentle walks, family walks or challenging tours, there is something for everyone here.

Culinary delights help you re-energize and invite you to explore the numerous themed-hiking trails and experiences.

Whether an idyllic Alpine walk in the Nock Mountains or a challenging climb up to Grossglockner. Discover the impressive mountain scenery around Lake Millstatt.

E-Bikes - It's easier when the tailwind blows.

There is a complete network of e-bike rental stations and service centres and, of course, battery-charging stations along the cycling routes.

Sporty travellers

Needless to say cyclists, runners and Nordic walkers are warmly welcome.

A scenic tour along the southern shore - sporting over the rolling Nock mountains or dynamically over rock and stone.

For our bike-less guests, the next bicycle rental is usually a short 5-minute walk away.

Countless miles of bike paths, Nordic walking tours, and mountain biking trails open up around the lake.

And for those who would favour a slightly different approach:
Explore the wonderful mountain scenery from up above while hang gliding or paragliding or go on wild rafting trip in the white waters of the numerous canyons.

On the lake and mountain

Enjoy golf in a very special way. On a sunny plateau, in the 18-hole golf course facility just above Millstatt Lake.
